Whether you buy a T-shirt, take care of the basic energy supply for your home or sign a mobile phone contract – many things in everyday life are regulated by contract. We have compiled an overview of important questions here.

Objects, the account or wages can be seized as soon as the court is involved. The garnishments are based on certain legal requirements. Everyday, normal objects cannot be garnished (such as bed, refrigerator, TV).

Collection companies or debt collection agencies are companies that collect receivables. Other companies commission the debt collection agencies to collect money claims for them. Debt collection agencies can also buy receivables. If debt collection agencies are involved, it often becomes expensive.

AGB stands for general terms and conditions. In the AGB the contractual conditions are explained. Here you will also find information on notice periods and the right of withdrawal. The AGB are usually printed very small, so they are also called the “small print”. Cost traps can be hidden here, which is why you should definitely read the AGB.

For contracts concluded on the Internet or at the front door, the general right of withdrawal of 14 days applies. Within 14 days the contract can therefore be cancelled. This must be done in writing.
If, for example, you buy a T-shirt in a store and want to return it, the retailer may refuse to take it back after more than 14 days.

The term of a contract means when a contract ends. In most cases, a notice of termination must be submitted 3 months before the end of the contract so that the contract is not automatically extended.

You should only sign a contract if you have read and understood it completely.

A contract is confirmed with the signature and thus becomes legally binding.

The contract regulates a matter validly between two parties.
